Pumpkins, Hayrides, and Food...Oh My!

There are so many things that we love about fall: oversized sweaters, late-night bonfires, hayrides, pumpkins, warm apple cider, trick or treating, a change in the leaves. October is a month for mischief, a month for carving pumpkins and watching scary movies…in short, it’s a month for everything orange.

We’re super excited, because there’s a place in our community opening this weekend that encompasses so many of our favorite things about fall! Balzano Vineyard and Pumpkin Patch is opening this weekend, and we guarantee that it’s going to be a blast! The vineyard is kicking off its grand opening with:

Hayrides (haunted and regular).

Petting farm.

Horseshoe pits.

Gourd chunking.

Smores.

…and more!

Balzano is family owned, and we love what they’re trying to do for the community by opening their pumpkin patch! It’s such a great way for families to come together for a fun time, and to get to know other members of the community as well. Plus, it has every fall-related thing you could ever dream of, and we’re a big fan of that!

We’ll be there this weekend, and we really encourage you to come out and support this local venture. Buy a pumpkin for the kids to carve, go on a hayride together, let them try their hand at gourd chunking, and have a great time!

The pumpkin patch and winery are open on weekends from 10 am to 6 pm, and haunted hayrides run from 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Balzano Vineyard and Pumpkin Patch is located just 15 minutes outside of Carlsbad at 5230 Seven Rivers Highway. For more information, you can visit their website or check out their Facebook page!
